Quote: Peace be with you, pls. I know that sometimes it is very difficult to stay positive. I just try to accept what I am facing and do the best I can. I wish for you strength and courage. Pete, I'm actually living an almost-normal life (except for the three or four days during which the infusions turn me into a zombie). The nurses tell me that my positive attitude may be making some difference in my progress. Peace, strength, and courage to you, too.

Thanks, everyone, for your support. The daily treatments are quite tiring. Then to top it off, yesterday I fell and bashed in my face and broke my nose. After spending half the day in the ER, I learned that there is no concussion nor cranial bleeding (at least some good news)! But now my eyes and nose are so swollen that I cannot wear glasses, so my error searching has been curtailed until the swelling goes back down!
Oh well...I have said before: "Gettin' old ain't for sissies"
The fight goes on!

Ugh!! Sorry to hear about that! I had a concussion last year; everything looked like a doubled die!
Wishing you a speedy recovery to get back at your error/variety searching.

Good luck Pete - I know what it's like, having had an operation for bowel cancer at the end of 2014 and then a long period of chemotherapy and time off work last year, which at least enabled me to spend more time on CCF! I am due for another check-up in a couple of months and am still hoping that I can have my stoma reversed,

hoping that the radiation treatments give you the same or more time cancer free as the surgery. Radiation therapy is what I do for a living so I think it is worth the effort. Best wishes Jerry

Very sorry to hear that your cancer has come back. I have had bouts with skin cancer. Why it strikes one person and not the other only God knows? I was exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam thus I have cancer risk.

Thanks, Sandy! Your support and the support of CCF means so much to me! I have now just completed 37 daily Radiation Treatments and I am exhausted! I have started walking in an attempt to regain some of my strength. I have not done any searching for a while now, but I have a couple of large bags of Wheats to go through when I can come around enough to do it. Hopefully that will be very soon. I still have a year or 2 (or more) to go on the Androgen Deprivation Therapy. That is also quite draining.
I have decided to start disposing of my collection of coins. I have been giving one coin at a time to my children and grandchildren. I am focusing for this primarily on my collection of Colonials and Early American Copper. Just sitting here responding to you makes me think that I should place a notice in CCF for sale and perhaps I will do that. I don't know why I did not think of that before now...my mind seems to be having trouble keeping up!
Anyway, thanks for your concern and support!

It is good to make plans/goals and try to keep up (you should always have something to work towards - it helps keep you going). My father-n-law went through cancer treatments and I know how exhausted he was, but he had a saying that I repeat to my kids today "Just get in there and get it done" that man could never sit still unless it was absolutely necessary - I loved him dearly. He had prostate cancer. He had gotten a really bad infection that even the IV antibiotics couldn't beat & that is how we lost him (not from the cancer).
Selling your coins via CCF sounds like a great idea - I look forward to seeing them.
Take Care :)
