Numismatic Crime Information Center - The Logan County Colorado Sheriff's Department has issued warrants for the following two individuals for Theft over $28,000 and Crimes Against at Risk Elders.
Christopher Wayne Roberts Donald Scott Rainey

Nederland, Texas Nederland, Texas Details in the warrant affidavit indicate that the victim was contacted by a representative of Vintage World Coin who was interested in the victims coin collection.The sales representative called numerous times pushing the victim into allowing someone from his company to come and assess the value of his coins. The victim finally agreed and Roberts and Rainey traveled to Colorado and met the victim at his residence. It was agreed that Roberts and Rainey would take the coins for an appraisal and return them at the end of the week. Stealing is bad ... Stealing coins is very bad.
Stealing coins .... From old people ... Should be the death sentence.
It hope the old couple get all their coins back.

At least the thieves were "considerate" enough to leave their names, assuming that they are real names.

New York State Police have arrested Michael Adcock of Pacific City, OR on charges of fraud involving a coin scam. A second suspect Donald Scott Rainey is wanted out of New York and Colorado. The subjects were doing business under the names of Vintage World Coin and Pacific Coin Company.
Arrest Coin Scam
Investigators believe there are additional victims in the New York area. A third suspect identified as Christopher Wayne Roberts was taken into custody last week.
Authorities believe Rainey is making his way back to Texas.
