A low dollar snipe, and she's mine. I think this is a VAM-6A, but that's for discussion in the VAM subforum; so for here, how does CCF grade this 1897-O Morgan dollar? I plan on an acetone bath when it gets here. Seller pictures.

Typical New Orleans strike. Don't think it has enough zip to make XF. Based on the current pics I'd give it a VF 35.

In hand. Obverse shot w/flash. Reverse with and without flash. Still the faintest remaining mint luster towards the edges.

Almost to a 6A but not quite there, borderline...

You can tell by the "drunken date" that the 1897 New Orleans production team was pretty tired of producing millions of Morgans that were destined to sit in bags...
