NGC - Offered exclusively for NGC Collectors Society members, these Norman Rockwell labels are available only until June 30 or while supplies last. NGC has created two special certification labels featuring iconic portraits by the famed American illustrator Norman Rockwell. These labels feature portraits of Presidents John F. Kennedy and Dwight D. Eisenhower based on illustrations originally published in the Saturday Evening Post. These labels are offered only to NGC Collectors Society members and are available only until June 30, 2016. All Kennedy half dollars and Eisenhower dollars valued under $1,000 each are eligible. A fee of $20 per coin includes NGC grading and the special Norman Rockwell label (add $15 for Early Releases or First Releases, if applicable). Enhance the appeal of your coins with the new NGC Norman Rockwell labels.

Really?
I keep wondering how long it will be until they stop bothering to put the coin in there at all, so they have more room for the label...

The number of ASE label collectors might astound you. Some of the "Special" labels sell for several multiples of the common Brown label. Strange but true.

Is there really a market for this sort of stuff? How much more would someone pay for a label, whose connection with the coin is tenuous at best?

Something I pointed out on another forum, according to the NGC site each label request has to be on a separate submission form. Does that mean you have to pay a separate submission form handling fee for each one? They don't say.

Um. Okay. You know I do like Ike and I do like Norman Rockwell, but I see no added value here. My dislike for slabs will continue.

Of course you do (have to pay a submission fee) Conder. These aren't aimed at the general collector, they are aimed at bulk submitters.

Well the way it was worded on the NGC website it sounded like you needed a separate form for each coin. I'm sure (I hope) that it was just poorly worded, but you ever know.
