It is not the most valuable (accept to me) or rarest note. While I was looking through my notes I found a $1 silver certificate that I never looked at closely before. This time I did. I turned it over and on the back it had typed "My Fathers name and Mothers full maiden name". Next to that was a date 1/17/52 (before they got married). This note is invaluable to me and I will never sell it. Thanx for letting me share.

@HT ... I got it from my Mom after she passed. As you can see the condition is poor. Sorry I blocked out the last names (I'm a private kinda guy).

Nice keepsake.
Did your folks have a business together before they were married?

That's petty cool. My wife and I each have a half of a hundred dollar bill. That way we will never be broke as long as we are together. I wonder if your parents did something similar.

Frank and Ruth - what a couple of great old-time names.

Great keeper!

Rest in Peace

That is absolutely precious.

I'll bet it was a gift -- maybe for their engagement?

Well this has given me a great idea!

I'm planning on getting married this summer... so I'm going to do something very similar but I think we're going to do it as part of our wedding day... one side her name and mine... prior to the wedding.. the other side her name (as she will have changed her last name) mine and the names of our children..

I was looking even closer at the back of the note in question. I found 3 more characters ( L?L ). Any idea what that means?
