So last week I went to hang at my favorite lcs to do some vamming and whatnot but he was low on just about everything. Silver has been flying out the door as quickly as it comes in. A few things caught my eye though so I put a pile together and offered $30. (In a cash crunch currently) Now, mind you, I have a great relationship with the owner so he usually accepts my offers. He knows I know what he pays and we're more friends than business associates. Now, this isn't a huge score, but it just goes to show what can be done if you have a good relationship with an lcs.

The morgan is a 21p top 100 "infrequent reeding" VAM 29a!... The seated I needed for my type set... The acid eaten (I think) WLH is just awesome looking, all 7g of it lol. And the cutouts too... the 1919 is more of a mad than an off center but nice... and last but not least a handful of random stuff from the token bin. If I'm looking through the token bin you know the inventory was low... But at least there was an ike in there

My favorite of the bunch is your Golden Flood Token. There is an interesting story behind this (easily found on the interwebs).

Yeah, great story. I'd like to go scuba diving there to see an underwater ghost town. A lot of valleys were flooded to create reservoirs across America in the post ww2 boom

Whoa, that Walker!

The 1919 is not "off center", it's a MAD....most dealers are dumb when it comes to this.

Nice haul

Even though worn, I like the looks of that 1873 w/arrows half dollar.
I would have picked that one up too.

That Walker is also interesting. When metal detecting I have taken
Silver quarters from the ocean, that have that thin look.

Thanks GR. I don't usually buy "junk" like this but it was slow and inventory was low. The morgan is a $60-80 VAM so it was well worth it although I would've bought that any day and twice on Sunday

And yeah, I know that's a MAD thad. He's a quick flip dealer so I help him identify errors and varieties. He gives me stupid deals because I let him in on ones I don't want and he's grateful he can sell something for $20-$80 more etc. Let's just say though that I want everything with a $100+ premium even if I don't actually want it The quickest way to making friends with an lcs imo. Don't be too greedy, show your knowledge & share
