Here is a 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar for your consideration. This one was probably struck in the summer of 1795. There was a delay in the production of silver dollars at the mint because mint officials were waiting for the delivery of a coin press that was large enough to strike dollars. The press did not arrive until May, I believe. Before then the mint struck half dollars instead, which explains why the 1795 Flowing Hair half dollar is that scarce compared to some other early silver coins.

In the fall the mint switched over the Draped Bust, Small Eagle design. That accounts for the two types that were issued in 1795.

I'm gonna come out of the gate and say VF-35 to EF-40. Knee jerk grade.
Rest in Peace

Heavy wear in a number of areas particularly on the reverse. I am going to say XF-40 for this one.

Dipper, it doesn't matter. It is fun to discuss and guess what the pros call it at the TPG. That's kind of the point of the forum, right? That is a really odd response.

Most of us will never get a chance to see in person most of the coins bill posts.
