Among a lot of European coins that I bought today as copper/bronze "culls" was this, which I've tentatively identified it as an issue of Frederick the Great. It's especially significant for an American as it appears to be dated 1776.

Not sure if you are looking for confirmation of your attribution, but here is a similar coin (Silesia 3 Kreutzer):

It is a nice pick-up!

Yes, Silesia is correct to a certain extent... It was ruled by the King of Prussia in that time and therefore was a province of Prussia. That's what fascinates me about Prussian coins. You do not only have a huge amount of different types that were minted for the whole kingdom but also provincial issues, minted for Brandenburg, Silesia, Posen, Danzig and several other regions/cities.

For identification of later Prussian coins and prussian provincial issues you can check out http://oldgermancoins.com/prussian-coins/
