I put the clad proofs in a capital plastics holder. The silvers I have so far are still in ogp, but I think they would look great with the clads. I am leaning towards breaking them out of the ogp... Your thoughts? Also, there are 11 proof Ike's, and 12 holes. One lcs has a 1990 (I think) proof set with the Eisenhower commem coin, is that the same size as the Ike's? If so I might get it to fill the last hole...

With out digging out my album, or a price guide. I am not seeing 11 proof Ike's. Which proofs are you thinking about? As for the 1990 Commemorative Ike dollars, there is a proof and UNC version. Both are 90% silver, and the same size as 1971 - 1978 Eisenhower dollars, 38mm.

Clad: 73, 74, 75 (bicentennial type 1), 76, 77, 78. Silver: 71, 72, 73, 74 (brown box), 76 type 1 (bicentennial silver proof set).
Good to know the 90 set dollar is the same size, I will definitely be picking that one up!

By all means put them together! Thankfully brown Ikes are not hard to locate when another one is desired. I admit I had a time breaking out my first one also, but the nagging hole was too much for me to bear, and let's face it, these are not hard to locate if you want another one.

Quote: (bicentennial type 1), Not sure why I forgot that one ... That should be a nice looking set when you get it done. As posted above, I would not worry about breaking them out of the OGP .... I have done it many times ...

Thanks for the help!

Looks good It is always nice to see a nice group of Ike's FYI - if the boxes are in good shape I would keep them. Sometime I find 40% proof Ike's still in the lens with no box.

Side note: The plastic holder for the brown ikes is the same size as a 1983 proof set... I think it looks really nice in there...

Yeah, I was looking at thinking "I wonder if it would fit". It does, and I think it looks much nicer than the standard blue cardboard flap...
