I don't think very many made it out to the flippers. Oh I am sure that some did but ultimately we will find out in August/September.

Quote: Just order it from Imaginaire.com for $20. It's sealed at Imaginaire, if you order $50, it ships free. I just checked the site. "Free shipping does not apply to this item." Too bad.

@CC-Ottawa Flipping coins are just gambling for everyone. Just like horse race, no one can predict outcome until the end of the race. Flippers missed many profitable coins in the past, Dino 1, Ladybug, Penny Set, Penny Wrap, 13 Gold Superman, 16 Pysanka CAD$1300 a piece might be out of some flippers' comfort zone to sell on ebay and unwilling to order from RCM no matter what. Some RFD'ers that I know pmed me that they ordered this coin. Some RFD'ers admitted publicly they ordered this coin. As long as ordering from RCM's website. No risk until October ( 30 days after shipment ) @New1954 Ask for CP's item number on Gold Star Trek if possible.

Ah so they are sandbagging lol. Some good truisms there too. To be fair, the LB was issued and sold out long before the RFD thread even started and I think it was probably one of the coins that turned flippers on to the potential $$$ in coins which was manifested in the glass bee. They were in on those other coins you noted with the possible exceptions of the egg and 2013 Superman which were total surprises. Still some got in on the SM albeit late. 2012 was a flipping frenzy on all things Farewell to the Penny especially the rolls and 5 coin set. Even I bought multiples of those and I've never sold any coin. lol. They were also heavily into Dino 1 and ate it on Dino 2. Two Loons comes to mind too - every flipper and his flipping brother was in on that one that was a ultimately hurt by mint delays. Of course all of that is generalization. Not all flipper are in on all coins but speaking of majorities, I think that is accurate. But again in the case of the ST gold, it seems none of them are in. I can't recall anyone saying they were going to buy as many as they could and sell them all. A few folks are suggesting they might sell one, and keep one and others a buying for their collection or as gifts. Fair enough though. I accept that some would be hesitant about $1300 but some of them have many thousands of dollars in coins lying around (if you believe what they say). Personally, I hope they have stayed away on the ST gold. I just don't believe it. I guess as darryldarryl said, we'll find out in August/September who's flipping and who's not. Final thought. Maybe the days of the pure flipper are done, at least in terms of RCM coins. Dunno. added: Like most everyone else here, I'm getting weary of the money talk too. Hopefully the June release leaks out soon and it has some coin designs worth talking about.

RCM website lists the Gold Star Trek as awaiting stock now instead of wait list. Only one per household. What does this mean for those who ordered more than one?

All depends if ordered through a rep no problem, online maybe.

Last December my rep sent me an email to fill in the amounts that I wanted for 2016 face value coins. I ordered 4 of all, including 20/20, 25/25, 50/50, 100/100 and 200/200. Well the RCM put limits on the 100/100 and 200/200 and the lower face valued coins. So, in other words, I only found out when I was tracking my orders that they reduced the amounts automatically. My rep told me that it came down from management. Prior to this they let me have as many as I wanted. The question now is will they rescind on standing orders of more than one on the Star Trek gold. RCM can do whatever they like no matter what tier you are. Platinum prestige cannot get more than what they are allowed per household now.

The 20/20 were fine because you are allowed 5.
I was not clear in my post.
The 100/100 and 200/200 were only affected in my order.
Only 3 allowed for 100/100 and only 2 allowed for 200/200. I had an order for 4 of each of these and they reduced the amounts.

@new1954 Did your rep placed order for you and got confirmation number on $100 for $100 & $200 for $200? If you ask 20pcs $200 for $200 and your rep placed order, got RCM confirmation number and charged to your credit card. RCM should not cancel order or reduce coin quantity because it is in RCM's system already. But...... if rep agreed to " reserve " 20pcs $200 for $200. That is another story. RCM can always adjust or restrict quantity on particular coin based on the demand and ask rep to follow RCM's policy. In the case of Gold Star Trek, I already placed orders and paid ( RCM already took money from my Paypal account ) full amount. Received order confirmation. I do not think RCM will reduce quantity on my Gold Star Trek Coin, refund partial of my money because RCM's policy now changed to limit 1 coin per household. Change term on policy ( from unlimit quantity to limit 1 per household ) will not affect previous orders ( with order confirmation ) But no guarantee on " rep's reserve coins " with no order confirmation.

@justsilver Thank you for all that you contribute. The problem is that when you pre-order face value coins and they are not yet posted on your profile, RCM can do whatever they want because the coins have yet to be issued. Example: last December I placed order for 4 because my rep asked me to pre- order. Lol. Lol. Instead when coin becomes officially available, they put order through with limits per household. You cannot yet order 200/200 face value coin yet because it is unavailable. The restrictions are 2 per household. I do have order numbers for my gold Star Trek coins; however, I have not paid yet because the RCM bills me only when shipped.
