Hi all,

I am brand new to the forum. Recently, I inherited a number of 1965 test tokens in $.25 and $.10 pieces. I would like to sell them and no experience in the area (in terms of selling coins) Having chatted with a couple of dealers here in Canada, I get the feeling that selling them one at a time privately is the way to go if I want to get "full" value out of them.

My tokens are magnetic and do not have the RCM stamp on (a couple of the $.10 pieces are stamped) them so I assume they would sell for around $100 cad and $50 respectively. I was hoping to sell them all in one batch but a dealer, I assume, will want them at a 50% discount.

What to do?

Thanks for any input.

Thanks for the quick responses. Here are a few pics...sorry for the quality. Who knew photographing coins would be so difficult?

I doubt if this "R.C.M." is the Royal Canadian Mint.

They are quite common. The scarcer ones have the double bust on the obverse... if they are circulated, the 10c ones typically sell for $40-$60 and the 25c ones around $75. They command a more serious price in mint state condition.
