Congrats on a nice key date Lincoln. I just went through completed ebay sales and wow small fortune is right. I can't personally believe these lower graded cents are commanding such high prices. I picked up a MS60RB for $200 more than you payed for a vf coin. The good news is if you need a 14d that should be about a third of the cost of the 09s vdb.

Sincere congratulations on the acquisition of this treasured coin ... certainly the envy of many LWC collectors still waiting for their example. I can't advise on crack out or not ... do whatever feels good to you and for your set. Well done. David

Good to know I will have to save less for my next key date Was the best deal I could find , there are few slabbed coins a little cheaper (around $500 ) but with what they call "environment damage " and they really don't look good Buying raw coin , I do that for sure to get common coins and its not the case . Otherwise I wouldn't buy a high grade coin and pay a crazy fortune just to fill the hole but of course to keep it intact in the holder , that's my next level of collecting

Paola very nice. I would advise to keep in the slab. Too many fakes out there so cracking it out would hurt its value!

Paola1 ... congrats on filling one of the hardest to fill holes. It took me over 40 years to fill that hole ... But I did not crack it out .. Many do crack them out and tape the slab label to the back cover.

What made you think that you could find it in circulation? That's impossible, oldest one cent I've got in circulation is a 1916 one cent in VF. 1919 one cent in F.1943 Mercury dime in VF. and like 5 1964 quarters that's it.
