This might be a good project for the chum bucket, the coins you were planning to dump the next time you go to the bank.

While pennies would be the coin of choice here due to the size and cost, I would love to put in a few dimes and larger coins to break up the mundaneness of concentric circles of pennies. Maybe a few wheaties here and there... "Hey Billie: See if you can find the Wheat penny!"

Cool but just imagine that one day while reading the morning paper and sipping coffee you see that you encased a valuable variety

Yes cool! Watched those tv's shows about house renewing and they did the floor project with pennies , it was like a runner rug in front of the sink counter area
