Is this a variety error? This 1942-D Mercury dime has only two leaves (instead of three) northwest of the D mint mark. There is no trace of the third leaf. Please give me your opinion (I have several more clear photos, but this one sums it up). Thank you.
Depending on the rest of the area, if the devices look wider, it might be a Struck Through Grease error. More images might tell more of what happened to your coin?
