I could care less about coins like this. I'm still trying to make my first million and it irks me to see coins worth this much. Mini rant over

I just asked my wife if it was OK for me to bid, but she wasn't particularly into the idea. Oh well. Maybe next time

If I had a spare 20-30 million laying around this would be high on my want list.

But I don't, so all I can do is stare and drool.

I will watch this go down. I don't have to worry about an impulse bid as my approved max at Stacks Bowers is lower than the starting bid!

It's a beauty! However, note that it was struck long after 1804.

Here's my contemporary 1804 "dollar" a.k.a. 8 reale or 8 bits piece ... Not as pretty, nor as costly ...

"The Sultan of Muscat-Watters-Brand-Childs-Pogue 1804 Dollar"; that's quite a moniker!

Wonder if I could use something similar for the 1964-D nickel I found in circulation yesterday.
