It depends on the degree of shift and the grade. This one is lower grade than usual. Normally they are near mint state as hey are plucked form circulation quickly. I would guess $10 to $15. Has someone placed it inside a copper ring?

No, not in a copper ring, just on the floor when picture was taken, it looks like the coin has quite a big slide to it though which is kind of cool

Is it the same diameter as a normal penny?

If it were a larger planchet, struck off-centre without collar can it look like this?

I was thinking foreign planchet, but as you stated I'm not entirely sure about what it would look like or if it could be minted with the same parameters as a penny when it is a larger planchet. I can bring it to the Mississauga coin show as well if anyone will be there that would like a lookie loo

I do not collect these types of errors but I will be attending the show and would love to see it in hand.

Done deal, what time you think you'll be there? I will be wearing a Zelda hat and a blue shirt that says jamaica, just to make it a little easier to pick me out of the rest of the people haha

Thats a strange looking one it appears to be encased within a copper ring similar to that of a trick coin. Odd and cool I agree about seeing it in hand to be sure about whats going on.

To be honest, it is a coin my friend found in his penny jar, I will be going to pick it up from him Saturday. I do not believe it has a rim as defined / elevated as yours ace

Looks like the offset penny is encased in a copper pipe or ring but just match a regular penny to it or you have something really cool
