Won for under $200.

Thoughts on a grade for this 1884-CC GSA Morgan dollar? It has all the OGP (box, card, holder.) I already have one of these, but .. well, now I have two of these.

MS63, too much on the cheek to go higher. Nice fields though and reverse.

No higher than MS-63, and closer to MS-62.

Most of these that I run across are in the 62-63 range, the occasional 64 or 65. I don't think I've seen more than a very small handful above 65.

I'm at MS63. Bad cheek...but clean enough fields to hold it from going lower imo.

I'm thinking 62 which, as noted above, is quite typical for these pieces.

Solid MS-62 with a shot at 63 due to the exceptional luster

The obverse fields are pretty remarkable, but agree that the cheek holds it to 63 at best. Too bad!

63 is a win for me. Any GSA in 62 or better under $190 is a deal, IMO, even the common date 82-83-84. One day I dream of an 1889 or an 1879 or 1880/79... :P

Until then, 84 is ok.

The profile is just too chewed up for me to go 63. MS62. Nice luster and pretty solid reverse
