I have a banknotes from French Pacific Territories 10000F XF
this banknotes has a serial number of A1.
At that moment, the banknote didn't have a security thread.

What can be the added-value (in %) given by this early serial number, compared to the same banknote with a later serial number ?
Thank you

Welcome to CCF.

If this is the same note....http://www.ebay.com/itm/FRENCH-PACI...AOSwiYFXJghQ ......then I believe the actual serial number is on the bottom right, 218280 , and that doesn't seem very low.

Yes, it is that one; but it is A1 serial, isn't it?

It's the first release of the note, without the security thread. The A1 is probably the first printing run, followed by A2, A3, etc.

It's worth about 10% more than the later release with the security thread, in UNC condition.

It's a nice note, but the number isn't a premium.

As a general rule, desireable serial numbers are 1 to 1000, even thousands or millions, radar and ladder sequences, solid numbers, and a run of notes in any sequence.
