Hi Everyone,
My name is Sarah and I just got into the world of coin collecting. I'm renovating my house and decided I wanted to do a penny flooring for my bathroom and the thought crossed my mind that I should probably check the pennies I have to make sure that there are not any error or valuable ones in the mix. I have now thrown out the penny flooring idea and am completely drawn into coin collecting. I have a question as to what is going on with this 1989 D penny. It appears that the tops of the letters in the word "AMERICA" are doubled and the there are notch marks under the word "ONE" and the word "OF" and half of second "S" seems to be not as raised as the other letters. Any info on this would be appreciated.
