I dug this penny recently that has an invisible to the eye FG. A 1200 dpi scan reveals the top and right side of a G with the middle and bottom of the F being slightly there.

Not sure if it qualifies as "no fg"

Just my take would be "no FG" means no FG. What I see is a faint FG which means FG is present.

A bit of a raised roof which is common for this year. Both indicate an over polished die.

Environmental deterioration is also present so makes it tough to say which had the most effect on this coin. Thanks, Doug.

At one time they were grading these as a variety, but stopped listing these.
