Please help me identify this coin with its correct name. Washington quarter with half silver / half copper? What do you think its approximate value would be? Is it worth grading it? Mint grade?

Sorry, no silver. And from the pics doesn't seem to be in any notable grade. Worth 25 cents.
Where are you really from?

The coin is toning a bit. I've seen this before.

I found this one in circulation. Whether original toning or artificial I don't know. But you can see the silver on the OP's coin right wing. Just worth a quarter. No silver. If it were missing the reverse cladding, then the color would be a deeper red like a circulated copper cent. But it is not.

Coop do you happen to have a pic of a missing clad layer that's toned?

Weigh it. If it's significantly underweight, then it's missing the reverse clad layer.

OP asking...

made me think that the New Member was not familiar with U.S. coinage. I may have misread that.

Thank you all for your very helpful responses. I did weigh the coin and it is underweight. Knowing it is not silver (post1965) and possibly a error coin I am now questioning whether it is worth grading?

Agreed, what IS the weight? Like Mike Diamond said a missing clad layer will be SIGNIFICANTLY underweight. We need to know the actual weight to be able to tell if it is significant and worth sending someplace.

The color tells me it is not a missing clad coin. The color should be much darker:

Also if you look on the right wing of the Eagle on the OP's coin, you can see the cladding showing through.
