Yes but these GO WITH a coin. The gold buyers will want the silver to complete the mini set. I'm betting these will hold up. Maybe spike a bit more But stay in the $150+ range ea. Jmho

that is one of the reasons I purchased the 2 coins to complete my 3 coin set ( gold, S and W mint silver) as I think many others as well are thinking the same idea

BTW that "mintage" vs. "product" limit thing is on a lot of items sold by the Mint...99.9% of the time they mean the same thing. Noticed this on the Harper's Ferry 5 ounce silver puck Quote: Mintage Limit: 30,000 Product Limit: None Household Order Limit: None In reverse (mintage/product) but I really doubt that this puck will appear in another set....and who knows about the medal...only 4 months left for the Mint to decide AND remember IT IS THE MINT..anything could happen Edited to add: I had to add this completed sale (one medal) from today (not mine) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-U...AOSwaB5XvOIA

Geez. I'm half tempted to sell my extra set now but I think this one has an above average chance at going higher or at least holding high. Plus there are rumors of 1 big pm firm trying to corner the market as they are buying massive amounts of the ebay listings. Either way at only $35 per this will be a fun ride. Similar to the Truman rp but I think these have more potential and "Buzz".

The only time I have ever sold any of my modest collection is a couple of times I have needed unexpected cash for something. What I have sold I regretted later and it was always the "nice" coins / paper. I have not been able to replace any of it as the price has just gone up on it too much.
I too am tempted to sell the second set as I could put the $'s toward buying one of my missing Washington MS quarters I need. I do have the gold coin so one set I would definitely keep. I know it's a long shot but the mint "could" make these silver medals an annual release and then I would need the second set to to go with the rest of them in the future. I "splurged" on the gold coin last year and won't be able to keep buying those every year if they keep that series going.
What to do...what to do?

Quote: If this all turns out to be accurate and the Mint's final position on the medals' mintage, those who were able to secure theirs today will certainly be happy. I am not selling mine, so do not even ask.

I have to admit that I was tempted. It certainly would have helped my 7070 budget if I did.

I will probably start listing some on ebay as soon as I get a shipping confirmation. I have had a few orders canceled in the past for whatever reason, so am always nervous to sell before knowing what I REALLY bought for sure.

Guys, Penn Metals is really buying these up. If they succeed in cornering the market and buying a big chunk of the mintage we could see prices soar if only briefly while the availability is artifically low until they get their holdings back from the TPG if that's their endgame. This could get interesting!
