Yesterday I received a type coin I'd long wanted to add to my collection. It's an 1853 Braided Hair Large Cent graded MS-64 Brown by NGC. I got it as a "Buy It Now" sale at a very reasonable price on ebay. The obverse still has some original red among the lustrous brown surfaces. There is one small carbon spot by the fifth star, but the surfaces are very clean. The reverse has full luster with just a hint of red, but there is also an area of blue, green and violet toning on the left side of the coin. I could not be happier to add this beauty to my collection and to share it with my fellow collectors.  Paul Bulgerin
