What's the one coin you are close to getting, on the fence of purchasing, or just slightly out of reach, yet possible in the near future that you hope to add to your collection? It can be a $5 buy or a $15,000 buy, just curious what's on the bucket lists as it pertains to individual classic coins.

any Dahlonega $5 Eagle or any 18th Century Gold. I am my entire current coin collection away from purchasing. I often think about total liquidation to purchase and own the one rare coin like that.

My 'bucket list' is quite long. Not just for coin collecting, by the way. I'm currently hoping to win a lot of very special Norwegian coins in an online auction (sorry, no American coins on my list so far). Special, as in rare. As in, less than 10.000 left per coin and it's a set of 3 coins. When the Norwegian government was in exile during World War II, they decided to mint some coins: 10, 25 and 50 Øre, in 1942. However, more than 99,7% of all those coins has been destroyed. That makes that the price for a set of such coins is quite outrageous when you want to buy it in Norway: over $1000 per set for 3 nickel-brass coins is common. I want to have a set, though, as it'd bring completion of my Norwegian type set much closer. So now I keep my fingers crossed for the auction.

Awesome on both accounts. I'd also love an 18th century gold piece. That's very interesting to learn on the Norwegian set! Appears quite rare indeed!

My bucket list is long too. Fortunately, some are plentiful and inexpensive (I'm overspent for this month already) but most looking forward to a silver 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition commemorative, or either 1907 or 1908 (no motto) $10 Indian.
While I'm waiting, I'll probably snap up a silver 1926 Sesquicentennial commemorative to go with the $2.50 that put me over budget this month.

An 1793 Half Cent, Facing Left. $15,000 would get me a VF I think.

Looking at 1914-D Lincoln Cents every now and then, it's one of two holes left in my album. Tough to buy raw, and they're so darn popular.

I have plenty of the "pricey holes" to fill in my Dansco albums: 1877 and 1909-S IHC, 1909-S VDB LWC, 1913-S V2 Buffalo nickels, 1914-D LWC, 1916-D Mercury, and 1922 "plain" LWC. There are also three silver dollar holes in the 7070. Decisions, decisions.
