The determination on this 8/7 thing is that it was a master die scratch that transferred to hubs making the dies. So it is very common and nothing to really collect like the 1972 DDO that all three mints showed the doubling. Master die doubling is not worth a premium. In the past different experts held to this as a variety, but current experts realize what it really is.

I do not see a 7 from your pic. but I do see what you are looking at. Perhaps if it is actually there a VEDS coin will show it. Once coins reach a certain later die state their potential value as a collectible variety diminishes. Keep looking. Ya never know. Good Luck and Happy Hunting...Gusp
