The only doubling that I'm seeing is Machine Doubling to the north. None of the doubling has it's own characteristics.

Thanks for the feedback.

Maybe my pics are too small to see the small details.
This, or I'm seeing DD everywhere.
Oh well, better luck next time.

Not the same doubling as the 1976D-1DO-001. That coin is class 6 with the enlarged devices. Yours appears to be different. I'm guessing from what I've seen that it is Machine Doubling. Eye catching/make you look again type, but that is what I've seen. On the IN on the motto there appears to be die wear starting and on the date there appear to be wear/cracks on the tops of the date. But I would save it for now as an educational piece. Later when your sure what it is, then put it back to work in circulation. But when a question is there, save it in a tube will you know for sure.

It is a doubled die. I lean toward 1976D-1DO-002 though. There is more evidence of doubling on the date on 002.

I suspect Chuck will add to this one. He is more familiar with the 1976 D DDOs than I am.

I see nothing aside from a normal 1976 cent. No hub doubling, no Machine Doubling.

The image 'trust.jpg' definitely has Machine Doubling.

No, that's not Machine Doubling. That's a combination of the selection of lighting and the play with light caused by the die wear in the area. Trust me, there's no Machine Doubling on the coin.

My eyes were tired, In looking again, I agree that CC is right. I was looking at the right, upper part of the 7 in the date and thought I saw a notch. Sorry...

Don't pay up just yet ! although I don't think it is Machine Doubling the trust jpg has what looks like ejection doubling or maybe deterioration doubling visable in the picture " I'm leaning more toward deterioration " but its not lighting !
