Great find! I can't help but think that it spent more than a few decades in a jar or a piggy bank. It is kind of interesting to see that filled B in such an old coin -- but I suppose it happened often enough, just not with the frequency of the 50's.

Nice circulation find!
Just a normal die chip, not worth that much more.

Not so sure. The color of the "filled" area is clearly different from the surrounding bottom of the B. Might just be some crud in there.

It has already been cleaned to death. Best to let it tone a bit.

It looked better before. Now it looks very cleaned. It probably removed a high percentage of value from it now.

Coop thought the acetone bath only removes the organic stuff and doesn't damage the coin .... Please let me know if we shouldn't use this method , thanks !

It may have looks like this below an artificial tone. When you put the acetone on it, it might have removed that toned layer. Keep it exposed out of a holder to see if it can natural tone. Probably only a few....decades. LOL That way the natural color comes back quicker. If a coin is worn, it is best not to touch them. They just like a shiny cow pie with extreme coin wear. The toning makes it not look so pink. (not a good color for cents)

Coop really apreciatte your time in answering the question , if I understood the acetone bath does not damage the coin but removes it's toning that probably took decades to be done .... From now I will use the acetone only for my manicure care lol Thank you very much !
