i read a post here saying that we could photograph coins. I have tried it I can not get this to work. what am I doing wrong. first 2 a tempts I tilted the lens. top to bottom of the camera. no go do not work that way. what am I doing wrong
know I have read another forum. where tilt and shift is a big deal on that forum. how they do it is they have one more adapter. there adapter has correction plus aliment glass. built into the adapter next to the camera.there images are perfect. even with a large angle on the lens. they also use the rodenstock enlarger lens. for some of there images. the problems is this adapter that they use is very expenses. is there away around this with out purchasing this adapter. any information greatly appreciated.

rocky...I use a Sigma Koki goniometer to angle the coin, and a EOS Tilt adapter to angle the camera. Works great. Show a pic of what you're trying to do and I'll help debug it.

Yes, that's the one I use. The adapter should be mounted to the camera body, before anything else.

I routinely use a confirm adapter attached to the camera body. Could this plug into that or do I have to give up Av mode?

No issue with adding the adapter, it just adds a little more length before the tilt adapter. This will cause just a little more shift.
