I have a Canon PowerShot SX130 IS camera can't take real close up shot. It has macro lens however I cannot get a real close shot. I have used a magnifying glass to get a clear close shot. The lens is not removable so it can't be replaced. My question is there an inexpensive magnifier the I can take photos through?
Thanks
Anthony

Forgive me if you already have tried this: Have you set the camera to macro mode?(look for the stylized flower symbol. Assuming you have used the camera's macro, and addressing your question the only optic I know that will do the job you want is the Raynox 150:

Thank you , yes I have tried macro, it does a good job, however for a close up it is not good. How does the Raynox 150 work. The lens on my camera is not removable.

I'd suggest trying a Nikon 50mm f2.8 EL-Nikkor, mounted in reverse to the front of your camera lens. They are pretty cheap and are an excellent objective lens in a stacked arrangement. Your lens zooms from 28mm to 336mm. If you set focus to infinity (mountains) then you will have a zoom range from 0.56...6.7x (28/50...336/50). The lens should cost you under $30:

The Raynox comes with a mount that clips onto the end of the lens

Well, what you're really after is not to be too close, because it's tough to light the coin when you are super close. I assume what you're looking for is "magnification". The Raynox 150 is a good choice for this, and as AK says will mount easily to your lens with a clip mount. As I remember its focal length is around 125mm, so your magnification range will be shifted vs the 50mm. The 50mm will likely need to be attached with masking tape or similar, but will give you a bit better performance than the Raynox. Plus, it's cheap and easy to come by.
