I used to daily enjoy sitting down and going through everything on CCF. I miss doing that. Those were the days I was still working on a book and was using CCF as a good (sometimes too long) break from the research and writing.
Now I have had my 2nd son and family remodeling the basement (my grandkids are not longer 2000 miles away

) as an apartment to move into for awhile. obama's needless war on coal killed the economy where he was in Utah, so there were no jobs. He had to come East to get work.
And... another good thing, although it takes up forum time, is when I do have some time where I can do something, I have been cherry picking through my Dad's accumulation he had that was passed to him by his father. So its been a great learning experience looking through everything from cents to dollar coins.
Have I found much? Over the last few months I have found a few things like a weak motto 1934 Washington, several doubled die Roosevelts and JFKs, and am now trying to figure out VAMs. There is a large box of loose Wheaties to go through and so I am learning all about RPMs DDOs, and DDRs I knew nothing about before. I only have about 25 Morgans and
Peace dollars to try to ID - but am finding for someone with no knowledge in this area, it will take time to ID them all exactly. The Ikes were easy... but nothing there.
And after all of this... well, let's say I have only touched the tip of the iceburg. So do I cherry pick, or do I sit on the internet?
After I get done (who knows when), I want to start taking pics and actually moving some of the extras.
Add to this I am still writing articles for the insulator hobby and also a dealer at insulatorshows to sell my book, well... unfortunately it does not leave a lot of time for being on CCF

I think about CCF while during hours of cherry picking, so maybe after I finally get through everything, I will be able to be more a part of the CCF family again. I miss that. I also know I am living a dream of many who wish they had a lot of old coins to cherry pick, so it is enjoyable.
