Hi just found these with other rusted coins. Aparently gold, probably have to clean them but the grading seems poor.

Did google but without match.

If you have some info about it. value ?

The "coins" in the image are not genuine US issue.

What is the diameter of each? How much do they weigh?

The coins posted are not genuine U.S. mint coins.

Thanks, then probably not gold but they are a copy of an existing commemorative ? or some invented Chinese tourist souvenir ? The weird thing is the other coins were in a badly corroded state and these ones shiny as new (gold?). Ill confirm weight at work. And go to a jewelry to confirm if gold or not. What is the point in minting fake commemorative coins?

@mor83: I'm curious, why do you think these pieces are commemorative coins?

It looks like the counterfeiters had no knowledge of US coins as they paired an Liberty Head obverse with the reverse of a type 1 gold dollar.

The US quit minting gold 1 dollar coins in 1889.

@mor83, first welcome to CCF.

Second, I will be very interested to hear if these are in fact solid gold because even though they are mostly shiny, some of them still have some significant staining that surprises me.

One could almost assemble a collection just of the really, really *odd* stuff that comes out of China. They range from numismatic counterfeits that could fool experts, to hilarious examples of Engrish.

There is a chance these could be gold, although that does seem unlikely due to the staining on some of the coins.

There is a coin that comes up every once in a while... it's a US $20 gold, except the legend reads "PRIZE MODERN ELOWER". Curiously, these are almost always made from solid gold. So just because it is not a US mint product, don't immediately write it off.
