Recently I bought this from ebay as well do they look ok? Nothing fancy I bought them mainly for the melt value (about what I paid for them plus a slight premium)

Very nice , as long as that slight premium isn't too high .
Also if your going to go this route ,might as well start a 1939-1947 PDS circulated set .

What's a reasonable premium? Currently these are at $294 silver melt and I paid $300 shipped. Sort of an inflation hedge I can enjoy as well :)

At $19.88/ ounce your half dollars are worth $287.62 and you paid $300 with shipping... You paid $7.49/coin... I think you did pretty well seeing each coin is worth $7.19 each for melt...

The one in the second row (right hand side) and 5th row (third one from the end) look to be in very good shape so they might fetch a few extra bucks...

If you can get 90% silver LWH, Washington quarters, Roosevelt dimes for small premiums over melt that that is good I think. If you are buy the silver as a hedge then that is an even better idea that trying to play precious metals markets for short term gains. Financial instability is driving the prices of both gold and silver, but that can turn on a silver dime IMO. Just look back to 2010-11 where PM's market peaked and then fell sharply. Now after five years the prices of gold and silver are moving up again which is usually a bell ringing that something is wrong with the world economy. Sometimes the only thing we have to fear is fear itself....FDR. Fear and greed drive all markets.

If the price of silver went to $30 an ounce what could you expect to get for an ounce of silver unless you are selling it retail as a dealer?

Need to wait for them to be delivered to see

"At $19.88/ ounce your half dollars are worth $287.62"

It was something like $20.30 or so when I pulled the trigger so actually even closer to melt
