I was asked if I could look through my quarter rolls to see if
I had some better quarters. These are the best I could come up with. I would have to say some of them look better in hand
then in the photo's. The 1960 D being a good example.

My eyes are getting older, so hoping to get some opinions
before I go any further.

Your 1960 could be rather expensive. WHen I zoomed in and checked, it appears to be the error Type B REV!

Not the detailed eagle tail feathers and the larger space between the ES of STATES.

Those are shiny!

Certainly better than what I have in my Dansco.

Any MS condition B (and C for the 1964-D) are worth a premium. I have been looking through some quarters as of recent and found some nice ones. Likely not MS - but I need to learn a lot about grading. Some of mine are as bright and shiny as yours, but I think I see what I would call slight wear on the high points. I might also be being a bit too picky. I found out I was when trying to grade Kennedy halves.

Let us know if you find any more. They are EASY to tell under a microscope. I have yet to see a crisply struck REV on normal type, so when the B or C comes under the microscope, they stick out like a sore thumb. You feel like you have put on a pair of glasses and are seeing clearly for the first time.

The 1964-D Type B is more deeply stamped than the Type C but the Type C still will stand out. Also after seeing a few Type Bs, the space between the ES in STATES also is not as wide as the Type B, but definitely wider than a normal REV.

Sorry no pics - not at home to get them.

Can't really feel certain about grades with these small pics, but they certainly do look high-end!

Yes, that was the one I referred to before, the 1960 (I am old school and don't include a P if I am talking about a Philly coin). But at the start of the thread you said you were asked to look through your quarter rolls. There may be more Type Bs and 64-D type Cs in the rolls.

Over the last year I have looked through about 1500 Washingtons from various sources and found around 10 type Bs (total) of the various dates (all except the 56!), and a type C 1964-D.
