Thought that this auction ad illustrates how little knowledge the general public has on the value of coins. Just dress up some pocket change in fancy official looking wrappers, put them in a flashy box, and add an overhyped cert of authenticity and there you go ..... a way to make obscene profits.

This particular set is from the World Reserve Monetary Exchange.

3 hours left, how high will it go?

Those are nice boxes. They are very shiny.

I wonder what you could get for shiny boxes of Dimes?

Did the US mint issue those boxes?
I have a vague recollection of something like that. Not that it increases the value, but just wondering.

Well, it is only common sense:

450 x .05=$300

And for the boxes, well the boxes are worth at least $100, so $300 is a great deal!

No I don't think they did. The words "World Reserve Monetary Exchange" and their logo (eagle) appear to be slightly indented in them so they must be custom made for WRME.
Rest in Peace

I have seen boxes of nickels like these come into the LCS.

Have never seen the sell for over face, most times the nickels
get dumped to the bank.
