Peter Huntoon wrote about the Series 1934 $20 and $100 silver certificates that were never issued. Too bad these weren't printed and issued so that collectors could enjoy them today.

That's a long read but it sounds interesting -- I'll have to mark it and go back later tonight.

It would have been really cool to have $20 and $100 silver certs though!
Rest in Peace

I like just about everything Peter Huntoon writes about....this was no exception. I believe I read this originally in last months edition of BNR. Wish someone published the story in color. Would have loved to see a $100 Silver Certificate with the blue seal and serial numbers.

This took a lot longer than I thought it would, but I threw a colored version together on Photoshop. Unfortunately it crashed when I was almost done, so this is as far as I got with it..

Thanks for the mockup, WheatBack! Nice work.

To my knowledge, the notes in the article only exist in black and white test printings, hence the lack of color in the article.

Say Wheat - Could you do a mock-up of the $20 FRN with Harriet Tubman instead of AJ?
