Today is my birthday! This week I have gotten tons and tons of coins! Today I got some amazing stuff! Let's go over the early stuff first shall we?

Now before I begin I am using the even out tactic because I've gotten more classic coins than modern coins to show so that's why it's here. Let us begin!

First up is a 1964 PROOF nickel I found in a roll that I got as an early gift!

It's-My-Birthday!-What-Did-I-Get?

This roll was FILLED with old nickels, mainly old Jefferson nickels going back to 1940, with some S mint mark ones, but we aren't done yet. These two are Buffalo nickels! And as my great granddaddy would say, you squeeze it until the Indian can smell the Buffalo! As follows are a 1925 and 1928-D, although the 1925 is a bit hard to make out due to die wear.

Then we have my first Buffalo nickel, a 1934-D!

While we are on the subject of old coins, here is a former oldest coin of mine, and my first one, a 1901 Indian Head penny!

Now to a penny roll I got! This one was FILLED with wheat pennies, and these were the awesome finds, a 1913 and 1914 Wheat penny penny! Sadly the 1914 is not a 1914-D, but still a very old coin!

There was a 1917 in there too but I decided not to take a picture of it. But we also found FOUR INDIAN HEADS! They are a 1901, 2 1908's, and an 1897!

In that roll I got myself another steel penny from 1943, and this one feels smoother like it is less corroded like most of them if you know what I'm talking about. Now to the nickel roll again. We got an extremely old one. It's an 1867 Type 1 Shield nickel! Another former oldest coin, as my oldest coin is about to be shown!

Now to the oldest coin in my collection. Oh my goodness, I was not expecting this to be given to me! AN 1848 LARGE CENT!

That is a big penny! It's about as big as a modern dollar coin so you can get an idea of its size. Good grief have pennies changed in size! I knew large cents were big but I didn't know they used to be THIS BIG!

Well this has been a fun birthday! Hope the happy birthday wishes come in and I hope these coins were something unique to look at!
Rest in Peace

Happy Birthday & enjoy the new additions to your family!

People always get confused when they ask to see my most valuable coins, and I pull out a worn 1892 Barber dime and a corroded 1883 Indian Head cent. Both were among the first coins I owned, given to me by my dad when I was 6 or 7 years old. That's why they're my most valuable coins.
