Only 71,228 sets made. Interesting.

With exception to the four proof dollar singles listed, they are figures for the actual sets containing the specific coins described. In the case of the proof dollar singles, they were issued separately from the regular four coin dollar set or full-blown proof sets. What is described are unique sets or singles, not the total mintages for each particular coin in every possible package. Just another example of the US Mint having way too many options for collectors!

Its a great set. You can even turn the coins around, meaning if one is upside down, you can straighten it out. Neat setup.

I have two of those sets and they are neat. I figured to make a gift of one to my nephew at some point in the future. Early on in this forum, they were ridiculed as just another format to stick Presidential dollars in something ! Ha Ha LoL.....and they ARE I guess, but the packaging is cool and DOES work as a selling point...rightfully so, sometimes, in my opinion. Well, it's just a neat little set and doesn't cost ya much so....and by the way, they're still available on the U.S. Mint's website for anyone interested (last I checked) In fact.....there's still a lot of inventory from 2007 that they're selling......... And with regards to the "contest giveaway".....Man !.....I've really got to investigate "other" areas of this forum sometime ! I'm so used to going to the same spot time after time, that I see that I'm missin' out BIGTIME !.....

I didn't know that you were my uncle! Well, welcome to the family Uncle Eaglefoot. Are you going to wait until my birthday to give it to me?
