What do you think this one might grade? I got it at a local sale really cheap. All the coins at the sale were carded with dates when they were purchased in the early 60's so I don't think its a fake. It looks uncirculated to me, but I'm not good at grading foreign coins. It has lots of luster. The weight was correct and it has the lettered edge. These are the only 2 pictures I have of it.

Stop holding it with your bare hands. Get a mylar flip or a Coin World holder. Looks like about MS63 minimum to me, but better photos could nudge me up to 65, I'm not seeing a bit of wear on any high point in your photos.

Yes. I agree with the first two. Would need more light on it, but it might very well be 64 or 65. If it grades that way from NGC or PCGS, you've got yourself a coin that might sell for three hundred and up. I bet you paid less than that. Hopefully you bought more.

Those were the only pictures I took before sending it to PCGS. So next pictures I'd have would be of it graded. Only spent $13, but it was only 1 there.

It was at an estate sale. There was a complete BU Franklin set for $275 that I didn't get because I wasn't first in line. BU Washington quarters for for melt 1940's - 1960's (got all of those), just about all silver was melt content only regardless of condition. Everything was very cheap surprisingly.

That's like a dream estate sale. Never found one of those. If I see any coins at all, they are always bad condition or the most common non-silver items. Lucky.

A typical problem with these is hairlines from polishing. The little bit of peripheral toning may mean you'll dodge that bullet. But even if it comes back with a "details" grade, getting one of these with little to no wear at melt is a screaming deal you'll likely never duplicate.

I hate to bump old posts, but I forgot to post what it ended up grading. Took forever to get it back with the turnaround time during summer. Went with NGC instead of PCGS, graded MS-65.
