Yes, it's another survey marker, Thailand style. I was going through photos from this year, ran into this one and thought of this thread. Located at the tip of an island in Surat Thani where two rivers come together, approximately here 9.136584636364384, 99.31275424521077. Interesting that they put a QR code with it.

Very interesting, kbbpll! Of course I look up the coordinates. You must have an interesting story about this.

No interesting story about the survey marker, just a random picture my kid took. My spouse is Thai so we go there every other year or so. The island is a nice park close to city with exercise trail and equipment. I tried to find a coin shop and failed.

Found this on my floor this morning. 12.6 mm X 9.7 mm X 0.68 mm. 0.18 g. Your guess is as good as mine!

Quote: Your guess is as good as mine! Does the upper part (above the 3) look like it bends up a little? It reminds me a lot of some weights I had for old high-precision scales - they had little bendy bits up top to be more easily picked up with tweezers. As it happens, 0.18 g is almost exactly 3 US grains, so I can't actually rule out that it's a weight... though it should be closer to 0.19 if it is, and 3 grains is a weird number to have a weight for.

Looks like a metal SIM card.

january1may, it doesn't bend at the crease. And I thought the same as you - I remember the calibration weights for Mettler precision balances. kbbpll, it's just solid aluminum. The only place I can think of where it possibly came from is a package my brother sent me with a New Orleans Saints blanket in it. Perhaps a strange inspection tag?

It looks a bit like a curtain weight, but is too small and too light.

Ok here's one that I'm guessing is going to be pretty tough, but maybe not.
