I collect modern US coins but the NCLT area has not be something I have focused on. I need to verify what I think is correct but I do have some contradictory information. From what I understand all of the modern US commemorative half dollars are clad composition, none of them are silver.
It this correct?

The 1982 Washington half dollar commemorative is 90% silver, but I believe all the later half dollars are clad.

To date, there have been two silver half dollar coins included in the modern commemorative series.

1) As already noted, the 1982 George Washington coin that marked the 250th anniversary of Washington's birth, and

2) The 1993 James Madison/Bill of Rights half dollar that honored Madison and his role in the development of the Bill of Rights.

It's one of the best looking modern coins and inexpensive to boot.

I agree. I got both proof and uncirculated direct from the mint in 1982. They both reside in my 7070 now.
