I just found this 2000-P Maryland State Quarter that is slightly off center. Not too much but more than usual. Just wondering if it is worth holding on to or if it has any monetary value above .25 cents. Thanks for any help!! Edited by Franklin Half 09/16/2016 10:52 pm

Yes it is definetely a keeper no matter what! Great find!! To see if it is a MAD (or Misaligned die) or an off center, a picture of the other side would be neccesary. But it looks like an off center. In that case $5 to $10 would be my estimate, possibly more

It's not a major error but I see it as being "more than usual". IMO it's a keeper.

Ok, now that I see the other pic, it is a misaligned die. Coop, our expert has a great image for this, maybe someone will pull it up. But I'd say a price is like $3-$5 but that's conservative

A view closer of the reverse might show some weakness on the design. If it does then it is collectable. I would like to see the image in 4 sections. Each quadrant. (1/4 view of each area, NE, NW, SE, SW)

Sorry. I meant the side with the bust on it. If it is a collectable, the letters on USA or Quarter Dollar might show some weakness. Note the weakness on the opposite side of the coin because of the miss alignment of the strike. (note illustration) You coin was probably with a setup different than the cent. The hammer die is the reverse on your coin, the anvil die is the obverse. On the example posted it is just the opposite setup. The weakness on the obverse is what I'm looking for.

That's a decent MAD find. Certainly a keeper!

The images are too small to see anything from them. But I would think the area affected should be the SW quadrant area. That is where I would look.

OK third times the charm! Based on these pictures, what would something like this be worth?
