I cant find an example like this anywhere. multiple die errors on froont and back at least three rifles are present on the back and one on the front. complete double dye on both sides writing on the outermost rim. elements of both sides are noticeable with good eyes on the opposite side.

i agree...i don't think anyone will be able to give you much usefull information - without better inages.

a couple of semantic observations. the correct term is "doubled die", and it is "die" - not dye.

not that I didn't understand what you were saying, it is just not politicall correct.

Are you looking at the damaged areas? (the head and lap?) Those are contact marks/damage. Not a doubled die (dye is used to color something, dies are used to create a coins)

As of late I have been seeing more and more of the Cumberland Gap's with Die Deterioration issues - which gives the first impression of Doubled Dies.

I am going to find a better camera to take some photos. I am really interested in the hobby of coin collection. It started when I fount both an old Indian head 1c and a 1944 wheat 1c at work. I started appreciating the artistic aspect with a beautiful almost flawless Shawnee quarter. I studied the jargon so I can make more cents of the conversations in this forum and also be more clear with my descriptions. I misplaced an Arizona broadstroak quarter and cant wait to show it to everyone. my wife doesn't appreciate my newfound hobby to say the least. lol

Most wives just want to spend money. We hoard it! Some have trained their wives to search with them, but that usually doesn't happen often.
Rest in Peace

It's the other way around at my house, coop.

My father always said I'd die with my first dollar still clutched in my hand. Well ... that not the case, but I still have all the Morgan's I pulled from circulation when I was a kid.

Still, I am sympathetic to anyone who has a hobby that the spouse doesn't appreciate.
