When selling is it better if you have a few in sequence to sell them as a lot or individual

I think that a set of sequential serial numbers would bring in more than individual notes. I don't know how much more though.

It's hard to say since I think you might have more customers interested in a series of $1 notes than $100 notes.

Too much depends on the particular note and the quantity involved.

If you had, for example, 3 consecutive TPG $20 gold certificates in CU, it would make no sense to group them.

On the other hand, if you had a strap of $1 1963A FRNs in CU, it would make no sense to break them up under most (not all) circumstances.

So it all depends. But usually, the more valuable a note is, the more it will fetch by itself rather than in a consecutive group.

Totally agree with this.

When notes are new they are consecutive, so I see nothing special or any added value in having 5 or 10 consecutive notes. Selling or buying a pack (100) of modern star notes brings less per note than selling or buying them individually.
