I have heard of them "yellowing" and affecting the coloured $2 coins. These coin baggies are NOT air tight so I imagine that long term storage could be problematic. The only ones I have are the recent changeover baggies and I have vacuum sealed these using a food vacuum sealer so that there is No air to do any damage. I am not sure of the long term benefits of doing this but it has to be better than just having the coins rattle around in the loose bags that are not air tight
I wouldn't trust them longterm, like the old Bank paper rolls they are designed for short term storeage and the main requirement for plastic bags when the Banks moved away from rolls was durability, not protecting Coins for years on end.
