Hello could anyone with experience in grading wheat backs help me with this one? I've checked ebay on ALL sales of 1919d pennies and the ones I see listed all loom worse then mine, in my opinion. I don't exactly know how grading goes but as for crispness of details and the lines in the wheat stalks I have yet too see one like mine. Also I was told it was the lowest mintage of all the 1919d varieties. Could anyone help me get a ball park grade, price? Is there any value in being the best example of a variety? I know there are probably better ones then mine in the world, but I haven't seen them yet on ebay. And the highest graded ones on ebay I feel mine competes heavily or beats no doubt. The line coming from his neck it only the 2x2 plastic. I didn't know if I should take it out for the pics or leave it in. Thank you all in advance... *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Hmm plastic might be distorting the coin....it looks way better then a ef 40 I think. 40 the wheat stalks are merging together mine are not there yet. But tyvm, I want to take it out of the plastic for better picks but don't think I should, I drop stuff aaaallllot. Lol

You should go ahead and take it out for pics. However, I'm with CotW on this one- there's clearly a fair amount of wear on the obverse, and there appears to be a hit on Lincoln's chin as well.

I have to say EF-40 also . Not what I expected you to show us . This coin displays slight issues both sides .

Coin has a little too much wear for the au range. On the obverse, Lincoln's ear, hair temple & cheek areas. On reverse, the wheat ears show minor wear. It is mainly the obverse that holds it back.

It does look XF and remember a 1919-D Lincoln is a common coin with almost 60 million minted so the value is around $5 here.
