Hi everyone. I've only gotten into coins because my father sold our family house. In response, I decided to start metal detecting the yard and have found many old coins. When I found my first Barber dime I got hooked into collecting coins and learning more about older US currency. Coins are a fun to collect and are fun to research. I also like to research my other detecting finds.

I used to be into classic video game collecting in the mid 2000s, but it's unaffordable these days. My favorite coins to buy and find are barber and Mercury dimes.

My oldest find was a British Cartwheel cent, and my favorite find was a high relief 1888 Seated Liberty dime. I look forward to discussing coins with you guys/gals.
Rest in Peace

Welcome.

When you said classic video games were you talking about consoles or the full size cabinets?

I have everything from Atari 2600 to PS4. My main game collection is Sega Saturn. I am holding my games to play, and I am also holding my coins because some of them are from my late grandfather, or I dug them while metal detecting. Nothing is for sale because of my appreciation for both hobbies and they are all worth more to me than the money they'd bring.

Sounds like a nice collection. I used to collect the older consoles myself. I'm not even sure what I still have stored away, but I had pre-atari (fairchild channel f, odyssey, ect) through PS2 or PS3. I have all the newest generation systems hooked up now. No time to play, but I have them.

I also have an arcade in my garage. Here is an older picture. It's always changing though as my tastes change and friends want certain games to play too.
