I know it is hard to take pictures of toned coins .. So really not sure how this looks in hand. Also not sure if a TPG would call this AT, envirionmental or PVC damage. Also hard to see hit/rub through that much toning .. So I would not guess a grade.

If YOU send it in you'll probably get a unc details grade w/questionable toning.
If a big auction house sends it in they'll get 66/67 and devote a whole page to it's unique toning and history.
Nice coin!

If your story is true, then I can't say it is AT. But the heavy bag marks in the right obverse field definitely kill the grade. MS-62.

i have it at MS62 also due to the obverse. although the toning was not intentionally created it may get a details designation for environmental damage due to the way it was stored.

Agree in the 62 range and unlikely to grade straight.

Sorry, no before pictures...the pinkish PVC damage "washed" away for the most part.

MS62 details, environmental damage. A valiant attempt, but the PVC has etched the coin surfaces to the left and right of the bust, at least it appears to have done so in the pictures, and even if not, those huge train tracks in the right obverse field unfortunately offset the extremely beautiful toning.
