Most of you were right on the money when it came to coin 2. I wonder why everyone was off on coin one. Could it be a wrong grade given by NGC or could it be the picture? Perhaps the answer requires one to look at the coin at 5x magnification.

The grade on the first coin really fooled me, I thought it looked a lot better then the other one.

The first one would be a candidate for resubmission . IMHO .

That '41-D is under-graded IMO. I think the grader(s) rushed through that one. I would send to PCGS with a request for a 65/66 and see what happens.
