Thank you in advance for any information that is provided to me.

I'm new to this forum but I'm no stranger in dealing with coins.
I came across this specimen today while coin roll hunting, needless to say it immediately caught my attention. It's a 1971-D Penny that I have never ever seen or heard about before..... I joined this forum specifically for this penny in hopes that someone might be able to enlighten me.

I believe that's a parking lot coin. Lots of damage. Not an error coin.

Keep hunting. They're out there......

To CCF , Charlie this is what we call road kill . This Lincoln has been run over by many cars and trucks . NOT an error !
