This is an 1881 S that I am considering for a purchase. Anyone with good knowledge please look at this coin and give your grading opinion. Thank you.

First impression is it's a nice MS64. If it weren't for the reed mark in front of the ear then 65 would not be a problem IMO and it still might make a low end 65.
Remember this coin is very common in 64/65 and not really all that valuable as a raw 64.

So would 53$ be too high for this coin in your opinion?

I'm between 63 and 64 on this one. there is a pretty good dig on the cheek and it looks like the luster on the obverse especially on the cheek is compromised

I'm at 64 on this, not sure if the price is too perfect, but if you like the coin it's fine

Quote: So would 53$ be too high for this coin in your opinion? No, not at all. I would expect a coin like that to have a $53 price tag on it.
